Herbert was established 250 years ago in London, and is a privately owned business employing staff from all over the UK, who either work at our Head Office near Cambridge or form part of our engineering teams based around the UK.
Our 250 year heritage is testament to our commitment to our Customers, demonstrated by our widely-recognised Implementation, Help Desk and Support skills that provide leading UK organisations with a service they can rely on.
Herbert was one of the first to achieve ISO9001 accreditation back in 1986, and this reflects both our reputation for being at the forefront of business developments and, importantly, our dedication to delivering quality to our customers. We also operate in accordance with ISO 22000 and adhere to most of the ISO14000 environmental accreditation – our success in this area is borne out by awards in both 2009 and 2010 for environmental achievement. We were also the first GS1-accredited company in the UK Healthcare sector, confirming our barcode software credentials.
