All you need to know about Natasha’s Law
The Government has passed a new law which should come into effect in autumn 2021. The new law named after the devastating death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who died after suffering an allergic reaction to a Pret a Manger baguette, will require food businesses to include full ingredients labelling on pre-packaged foods.
The law is at current only focus on pre-packs foods, however we see no reason why this law would not be deployed onto all foods, pre-packed of freshly made. For the latest updates you can follow this page or check the Governments official page.
With the new law set to be force in place in the autumn of 2021, this gives businesses time to adapt to the change and put into place actions to help comply with the law.
As retail solutions experts, we are best placed to help you find the right solution to comply to the law. We offer multiple solutions with capability of printing, displaying, and explicitly highlighting full ingredient lists and potential allergens in products.
